At its core, therapy is an invitation and opportunity to learn more about who we are, and understand how and why we relate to ourselves and others in the ways that we do. It provides a chance to learn new ways of being that allow us to live more robust, connected, and thriving lives.
Areas of focus
I enjoy working with all individuals.
This is a non-exhaustive list of areas of focus and interest.
-
Therapy can provide a space to explore work-related stress, burnout, and career uncertainty. It can help to improve work-life balance, enhance communication skills, and develop skills to manage conflict, leading to greater professional satisfaction and personal fulfillment.
-
Sometimes we can feel stuck, confused, or disappointed in our relationships with others. Therapy can provide a safe space to explore underlying issues, address patterns of behavior, and develop healthier ways of relating to each other.
-
Having support and guidance during times of change and disruption can make it easier to adapt and find stability in new circumstances. Processing emotions, managing stress, and navigating uncertainty can help these transitions feel more manageable and less disruptive.
-
Grief is what we think and feel inside; mourning is the outward expression. It is through active and honest mourning that we reconstruct hope and meaning in our lives. Therapy around this work can provide support, companionship, and tools to navigate the mourning process.
-
Therapy for hospice and palliative caregivers focuses on addressing the emotional and psychological challenges of caring for terminally ill patients. It offers support, coping strategies, and stress management techniques to help caregivers maintain their well-being while providing compassionate care. It also addresses feelings of grief, burnout, and anticipatory loss.
-
Legacy work involves activities that allow individuals, particularly those facing terminal illness, to reflect on and document their life experiences, values, and memories. It can include creating letters, videos, or mementos for loved ones, which serve as a way to pass on wisdom, express love, and leave a lasting impact. This process can help individuals find meaning and peace as they approach the end of life.

-
If you are looking for space to help prepare or process your serious and/or terminal illness, or that of a loved one, you are not alone. These realities are difficult to experience and discuss, yet it is a reality that each and every one of us will face.
Capturing stories and reflecting on memories (both hardships and joys) can be a significant and impactful gift for you and others. Being able to have honest, direct, and tender conversations around illness and death can provide comfort, relief, and understanding.
I offer end of life and legacy therapy of 50 minutes at $120/session, or 30 minutes at $60/session. These services can be provided in-person (wherever the patient calls “home”) or via telehealth.
I am compassionate in accompanying those with serious or terminal illness and believe that everyone has the right to receive the best, most holistic care possible.
